Hi! Welcome to Sarah Scott Interiors, a blog for all things budget-friendly home interior design. You’ve probably heard of the phrase, “it’s never too late to start,” so that’s what I’m doing: starting. I am very excited to finally document my own experiences over the last two and a half years as a first time home buyer. I can’t wait to show you all of the exciting things ahead.

So let’s start with a quick introduction. Many of you have previously known me through my maiden name. However, I recently married my best friend, Ty Scott and am now the perfect alliteration: Sarah Scott. I am daughter, sister, friend, and now wife. My accomplishments included being a college student, NCAA Division I volleyball player, MBA graduate, full time employee, and now home owner. I could not have made it here on my own, and I know you will meet some of the great people who have helped me along the way.

My Love for Budget-Friendly Home Interior Design

For me, my passion in starting Sarah Scott Interiors is to combine all of my experiences into one. This blog is a culmination of my love of advertising (any Mad Men fans out there?), passion for budget-friendly home interior design and innovation. But with a twist: achieving it all on a budget. While many design blogs stick to the before and after’s, I am here to show you all the ups and downs of this journey. I’ll show you all the numbers of exactly what it costs to create affordable, beautiful design.

Since purchasing my home, I created a list of home projects I want to accomplish. Realistically we won’t tackle a few items on the list until Year 5 or beyond. However, writing down your goals is the first step in manifesting their reality. Next, I’ll share a list of my completed projects and let you in on what’s to come for 2022!

I have some big goals for this year that I can’t wait to share with you! I hope you’ll join me on this journey to design budget-friendly home spaces. Now, let’s start having fun!
